Two technologies, one treatment
Fine needles deliver radiofrequency energy at a controlled depth beneath the skin, rather than applying it across the surface. That combination means it works on skin firmness, texture and scarring at the same time.
It is used on the face and the body, and is one of the treatments we reach for most often in post-weight-loss plans.
How does DermaPro RF work?
Microneedling alone creates controlled micro-injuries in the skin, prompting the skin’s natural repair response. DermaPro RF adds radiofrequency energy to that process, delivered through the needles at a controlled depth.
This means the energy reaches the layer being treated directly, rather than passing through the surface of the skin to get there. The skin responds by remodelling over the weeks and months that follow.
Because the response is a biological one, results build progressively rather than appearing immediately — which is also why a course is usually more appropriate than a single session.

DermaPro RF combines microneedling with radiofrequency, delivering energy below the surface through fine needles. Alongside firmness it also addresses texture and scarring, so it suits people with more than one concern in the same area. HIFU uses focused ultrasound to reach a precise depth without breaking the surface, and is focused on firmness alone.
Neither is better than the other. The practical difference is that DermaPro RF involves some redness and recovery afterwards, while HIFU has none. Which is more appropriate depends on the area, your skin and what you want to address.
What should I expect afterwards?
Redness and warmth in the treated area are expected afterwards, similar to mild sunburn. How long this lasts varies by person and by area, and it generally settles over the following days.
Unlike HIFU, this is not a no-downtime treatment. We will tell you exactly what to plan around for your specific area before we begin, and give you aftercare guidance on the day.
Is DermaPro RF right for me?
It tends to suit someone who wants to address firmness alongside texture or scarring, is comfortable with a short recovery period after each session, and is prepared to take a course rather than a single treatment.
Where skin laxity is substantial — particularly following significant weight loss — non-surgical treatment may not achieve what you are hoping for. We will tell you that at your appointment.
