How does Aqualyx work?
Aqualyx is injected directly into the targeted fatty tissue, where it acts locally within the treatment area rather than throughout the body.
The affected cellular material is then gradually processed by the body over the weeks that follow. This is why the result develops progressively rather than appearing immediately, and why we ask you to allow several weeks before judging the outcome of a session.

When will I see Aqualyx results?

What should I expect after treatment?
Aqualyx does not involve surgical downtime, although temporary treatment-site reactions can occur following treatment. These may include swelling, tenderness, redness, bruising and sensitivity in the treated area.
Individual experiences vary, and these effects generally settle as the area recovers. We will talk you through what to expect for your specific area before we begin, and give you aftercare guidance on the day.
Aqualyx or Lemon Bottle?
Aqualyx typically has a longer treatment cycle, with changes beginning around 10–14 days, results developing over approximately six weeks and sessions generally spaced 4–6 weeks apart.
Lemon Bottle follows a different treatment timeline, with results potentially beginning earlier and sessions able to be performed more frequently where appropriate.

Does Aqualyx hurt? +
Most people find it manageable. You may feel stinging or a burning sensation during the injections and for a short time afterwards, and the area is often tender to touch for a few days. We will discuss comfort with you beforehand.
How long can swelling last? +
Swelling varies by area and by person. It is usually most noticeable in the first few days and settles as the area recovers. Larger or more sensitive areas can take longer, and we will tell you what to plan around at your appointment, before treatment begins.
Can Aqualyx treat the stomach? +
Yes. The upper stomach and lower stomach are treated as separate areas, and can be treated individually or together.
Can Aqualyx treat love handles? +
Yes, love handles are one of the areas treated most often with injectable fat dissolving.
Can Aqualyx be used for a double chin? +
Yes. The double chin is £150, and the chin and jawline treated together is £175.
Is Aqualyx a weight-loss treatment? +
No. It targets localised areas of fat and is not a method of losing weight. It is a body-contouring treatment.
